I love those who love me, and those who seek me diligently will find me. My fruit is better than gold, yes, than fine gold; and my revenue than choice silver (Prov 8:17,19).
Not only are we told God loves those who love Him in a special way apart from the general love for which He sent His Only ?Son that all who believe in Him might have eternal life (John 3:16). Jesus says those who love Him obey His commands (John 14:15) and that only those obeying the will of God will enter the kingdom of heaven (Mt 7:21). Reward for diligently seeking the kingdom of God and righteousness has not only eternal benefits. Reward includes having a life which bears fruit far more precious than fine gold and choice silver that represents a materialistic attitude of storing up treasures on earth rather than in heaven.
