The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge. Fools despise despise wisdom and instruction. But whoever listens to me will dwell safely, and will be secure, without fear of evil (Prov 1:7:33).
If the sovereignty of God is revealed to a heart, there develops awareness that life is not a series of random circumstances and a holy fear develops of transgressing God’s will. One lives in a way for which he or she was created by gaining knowledge (wisdom) in learning how Jesus thinks, speaks and acts. Through daily study and meditation on the Word of God, the mind progressively becomes more like that of Christ as the apostle Paul tells us should be the case (Phil 2:5). And inner security is birthed, free of fear in difficult times and knowing God works in us for our benefit in all things if we’re willing to be transformed into the likeness of His Son who gave all on our behalf (Romans 8:28,29).
